Life is about not knowing.

“I wanted a perfect ending. Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next. Delicious Ambiguity.”

Life is like a rainbow showing up after a storm has passed and when we least expect it but when it does ah what a show. Life is having faith your very own rainbow will show up.

Dreams

“The world lies in the hands of those who have the courage to dream and who take the risk of living out their dreams – each according to his or her own talent.”Paulo Coelho

A fabulous day. Thank you Spirit.

First it was my birthday and I had a fabulous day. I spent the day with a dear friend. I could not have been more content and at peace especially since I turned 55 years of wisdom. I decided to venture down the road of releasing things attitudes people and patterns that no longer support love and respect this awesome spirit. To do this I started the day going on a mini vision quest. Meditating and centering my higher self with the wisdom and loving soul inside this body (a body I have beaten up, treated miserably at times, over worked, and mostly had allowed an ego to rule) has been a work in progress. Any work in progress eventually starts to show its shape and form as if giving birth to the energy of the creation. Well it may have taken me 55 tumultuous ever-expanding and growing years months and days but somehow I got here. And here is exactly where I needed to be, this moment, this time, this place, and if you add them all together they have been necessary for me to realize it is this moment, time and place I needed to learn grow and expand. How fabulous is that, really think about. I have giggled since Tuesday.

I was given three gifts and after the mini vision quest I opened the first amazing gift. My very own deck of Angel Tarot Cards by Doreen Virtue. I have used Tarot for years but I have never been comfortable with the negative doom and gloom side of some of the cards. These cards are supportive truthful and uplifting. The art on the cards are beautifully rendered works of Steve A. Roberts. I of course prepared my set of cards immediately and from the first reading they are spot on.

The second gift was a book titled Desire to Inspire: Using Creative Passion to Transform the World by Christine Mason Miller. Inspiration simply oozes out of the pages and the words uplifting and yes trans formative.  Words kept touching my soul and my skin tingled with positive energies. She gives exercises and insights from other creative women you have to read the book to understand.  This is a book for all who like to create. Not just artist or creative people but bankers, mothers, nurses, sales people and people just trying to figure things out, like me.

I am back with a new vision. I am forging ahead with my dreams and desires. I am allowing the universe and Spirit to work and I am making choices based on the intuitive self, my true soul self. I hold my beliefs and my experiences as precious gifts and beautiful lessons for they have made me a caring compassionate sensitive intuitive adventurous  intelligent creative imaginative can not wait to see what happens next kind of gal. I am ageless whole and the only living being like me on this planet. A complete awesome original piece of art. Me. Guess what you are too. Pretty fantastic.

So give yourself and the person next to you a break. Let us stop beating ourselves up and have ourselves a one of those sumptuous cup cakes celebrating the magnificent original work we all are. Thank you Spirit that is the best gift anyone or any energy could have given me. Gratitude.

People who try to belittle your ambitions.

Find your way with the right inspiration.

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great. When you are seeking to bring big plans to fruition, it is important with whom you regularly associate. Hang out with friends who are like-minded and who are also designing purpose-filled lives. Similarly, be that kind of a friend for your friends.”

Anything you couldn’t explain was magic then.

It’s easy to believe in magic when you’re young.  Anything you couldn’t explain was magic then.  It didn’t matter if it was science or a fairy tale.  Electricity and elves were both infinitely mysterious and equally possible – elves probably more so.  ~Charles de Lint

Some would probably say anyone who believes in magic, in fairies or in things that bang for no reason and disappear from your sight only to reappear some time later are completely mad. May be these people are right but I do not think so, do you? My dear mum would say how she wanted to be thought of as being eccentric and during the end of her years living here in this realm I think she got her wish. She in my eyes was fun and open to different ways of thinking. Never thinking her ways as being eccentric but somehow she accomplished just that and I never saw it happening. There was an openness about her spirit and I feel because of that energy she whether aware or not was in contact with other realms and beings. Maybe being an open spirit is being a child full of wonder.

It is a terrible loss to the human population when we disconnect from wonder and magic. The price we all pay becoming an adult and it is a price I am not willing to pay anymore. Fantasy eccentricity imagination are what allow us to fly with fairies angels and spirits. Just because we discover or invent a new thing does it mean it was not there all the time waiting to come into our realm of thought. Another way of thinking about this is electricity, a thing we use everyday, ever not exist? Did Edison create it by discovering electricity? Electricity was always there but before Edison made us aware of its presence it did not exists in our realm of being. Fairies are and always will be there but you have to take the first steps back to when you were a child and see the world around you with wonder. It is something to ponder surely.

My mum and I delighted in the fairies and the stories we would discovered about the different realms. I now have to confess though my mum wanted to be an eccentric, I am one. Like mother, like daughter.

A little food for thought or some facts about fairy food.

Fairy Food: When it comes to fairy food, we read stories to discover that mallow fruits are fairy cheeses, and dogwood fruits are pixie pears. Little cakes are another favorite fairy food, and if they are made with saffron, they are especially cherished since saffron is highly valued by fairies.

Return to Faery

Return to Faery (Photo credit: charissa1066)

Faeries, come take me out of this dull world,
For I would ride with you upon the wind,
Run on the top of the disheveled tide,
And dance upon the mountains like a flame.
~William Butler Yeats, “The Land of Heart’s Desire,” 1894

Artistic people and fairies have a common bond for is it not in our imaginations we travel to far off places? We paint or write words to help others see a reality that is very real to us. When creating do you not become one with what it is you create even for a moment? Then to release it into a world where people can only glimpse why it is there for them to read or gaze upon. In my imagination a can be very small and fly on top the wings of birds or transport myself to a mystical place where everything is magical.

English: Fairy footpath? I walk this footpath ...

I see a fairy see...

And as the seasons come and go, here’s something you might like to know.  There are fairies everywhere:  under bushes, in the air, playing games just like you play, singing through their busy day.  So listen, touch, and look around – in the air and on the ground.  And if you watch all nature’s things, you might just see a fairy’s wing.  ~Author Unknown

The Realm of Fairy is a strange shadow land, lying just beyond the fields we know.  ~Author Unknown
The other day I received an email asking me if I believed in fairies. I certainly do believe in fairies and in all things of that realm. Magic and mystical beings were visible eons ago but the fears of what humans could not comprehend. refused to understand and the power these beautiful beings had scared humans. The magical beings withdrew from our world where all they wanted to do is to live in harmony and help their human friends. So the veil between the two worlds became more opaque eventually making it almost impossible for humans to see this realm. Today the veil is becoming a bit more transparent as humans become more accepting of a new spiritual reality.

Myself a glimpse of a flash of light or the stare of an animal so intense it is a spirit connection or the shadow that moves across the wall quickly is my confirmation. Very recently my dog has started to bark at the air, not a defensive bark, as if he is conversing  with whatever is there. I have had whispers in my ear and my hair twitched. Most would say maybe it is a ghost but I think it is more than just that. It is the realm of mystical beings of the magical realm having easy access to our realm once again.  I believe in fairies and maybe I will see a fairy’s wing. I know I am never alone and welcome this new connection. How about you?
