Yesterday I discussed on my blog The Painted Cottage Home about endless speculation and how it can absolutely confine your Self if you do not release it. Once released you start to live from a place of doing and insight. I would have written the post here but it reflected on the home and studio I am selling but I am getting away from the inspiration for this post, here.
If you think about the quote above and then think about the changes you have gone through you have to see the truth to his words. I think yesterday my thoughts were a beginning for the post today. I think back to one of the darkest moments in my life, I was involved in a DUI or DWI depending on where in the USA you live. I was young and thought invincible. I lost everything. My job, my license, my friends, family members found it a perfect time to cast judgement, and I now had a record. Criminal record. I thought I could never survive all this yet somehow I did. Not only survived but became a new wonderful soulful spiritual being.
We all have moments in time that will never change which I refer to as life markers. They are a constant fixed point in our lives. The event will happen but it is what we do after the event that is so crucial. Do you climb to the next rung on the ladder or do you freeze where you are or do you climb back down? Going higher is work and the hardest work you can undertake. If you stay frozen you live a shell of a life, just an existence, no more and no less, just there. If you go down I think it is where evil feeds and life becomes twisted, into the bowel of hell comes to mind. Yet I do not believe in hell as a physical place more one of the mind or dimensional space.
The beloved universe always gives us sign posts and messages for us to see hear think smell nudging us in directions we may not have thought would be right. When you pay attention and learn accepting the goodness and love the beloved universe is offering life gets pretty awesome if not epic. I did not see the sign posts the universe was showing me so my wake up call was a DUI. The DUI was also the best thing to have happened in my life so far. Some events have come close but this moment, this amazing life marker sent me heading on a new bright path.

Today right now life is setting up for something new once more and after experiencing a life marker once before I can feel the energy of a moment fixed in my life time coming towards me. In your gut you can sense an anxiousness,a restlessness of energies around you, your senses become heightened. I am not going to make the same mistake ignoring the signs. I know I have to keep climbing and I know I will be fabulous once it passes. If you have this feeling also keep vigilant and watch how time is moving around you. When that moment hits time seems to slow down. You are acutely aware of time and space.
No one can stop tragedy in life and tragedy is life. I know you can see the signs in your own life. Are you climbing on the ladder next to me or frozen? If you are frozen reach out a hand the beloved universe is there always to aid you guide you and help. If you have fallen well it doesn’t matter because this post would have ended for you long ago, but I send you light and love.

Mother’s Day is fast approaching us and you may want to buy something very special this year for the remarkable epic women in our lives. I am not referring to just the biological mothers but to all the women mothering adopted children (though in their hearts they gave birth to them)or the furry children or nurture friends or the precious earth this is a day for every women who nurtures another precious being. Maybe you are one of these other women or you know one of these gorgeous souls. Wouldn’t it be special to recognize them by giving them a gift, too? So many women by their very nature are the nurturing energies the universe is every day grateful for and I ask you why are we not grateful also? It does not have to be much just a little thank you note left in the mail box that you made by hand. Or a pretty little flowering plant or dig up a violet (I have hundreds in the yard) and paint up a clay pot. I have to admit I live with fear everyday. I do have self doubt and I know to the core of my being what I am doing is absolutely right for me, not you or my neighbor or co-worker or family member but for moi. Decades of living and learning through some painful and terrifying experiences I have learned stop thinking the path before you is not the right one. It is your path not the collective sum of all others but unique to your life. Stop resisting and learn to answer the tug in your gut telling you to follow that scary road.
Learning the difference between fear due to danger and fear due to the unknown takes experience and time. Understanding the subtle signs and gut reactions also takes finesse and understanding all which comes with living your life.

Today I started another watercolor and realized I have conformed, feelings of doubt and resistance to even create was work. When I am working I find out the most amazing qualities about myself through the process of creating. Maybe it is because when I am truly present, what it is I am here to do (not being to full of myself) creating art, I hear whispers. Soulful nature divine spiritual whispers from a little voice we all hear to many times but never pay attention to what it is telling us. I need to pay attention and I need to create everyday.
I am busy doing so much to get to a place that when I get there I may not be any better off than I am right now. Sometimes we keep ourselves moving doing and thinking, we are not feeling the fear and our doing becomes more, the resistance becomes overwhelming. An important person in my life used to use the word insurmountable when things ratcheted up a notch and I knew it was her way of avoiding the fear. The word would make me cringe. We together had some tough experiences and the word did fit but the fear never went away and never did the resistance become less. Funny thing now this dear soul passed and when I hear the word I know it is time to buckle down face the fear and move forward.
Fear is a part of life and I have found it can be friendly. Fear reminds me of the old cranky person who comes across as mean, no one likes the person and the children stay clear. The cranky person does not mind because this is the purpose of its life and has never known another way of living. We know, I know there is.
When you face the fear in your life and allow for the creative nature inside to emerge, life is worth it. I am an artist. I can understand the quote for when I create I face the biggest fear I have which is am I good enough.

One of the biggest problems anyone is confronted with today is the meaningless words people throw around at each other. It is essential for artist, business owners and small creative entrepreneurs to work connected to social media, web sites and blogs. For the most part it is fun and people are very kind and supportive with their words. Yet I find the positive people the lovers of optimism are busy people running their creative businesses and when moved will say a few kind words knowing how hard it is to be a creative person. Artists and creative entrepreneurs, as my mom would say, wear their heart on their sleeves. I think it is a good thing to do this but if you do then you need to be thinking and forming a solid concept of your authentic self vision.

I had a double whammy last week and it was only a reminder that I had started to form a habit of thinking myself as less. I stumbled. I had a remark made about selling this house and about why I am not selling from two different people. At first I was understanding then annoyed and then angered because I did not ask for the words given as advise. I found I was doubting the decision I made for myself and mostly for my business. By the end of the week I felt defeated. Then I got an update about the new house and business, a place where my dream will flourish. The vision I hold is better than I could imagine. I am now habitually waking to this vision, I look at the update and realize it is happening. I believe it is happening. I add pieces to the vision and as I form a better conception of myself with the power to imagine and create I become that being with every breath, every cell, every thought is creating.
Back to the meaningless words people love to throw around remember the people and the words are reminders you need that you stopped believing in the greatness of you. Smile and wish them well then go rock your world.
Is there a reason for this problem?
The joys of computing, networking, marketing and the lovely little bugs the machines pick up. I have tried everything I am capable of fixing and when I shut down or restart my computer it wont start up right. I have to do it manually is the best way to explain it. I also use Magic Jack for a phone line and when I turn my computer off so goes the phone. My OS is fine and since the hiccup is working faster than before. I was aggravated with this new problem. I was determined to fix it. I felt this is one more ‘thing’ not working in my life. A firm believer every problem joy or event happens for a reason, always a good reason. When we ignore the symptoms is when those reasons become bad.
I am selling the house here in Elkin NC and the one contact number is the one that turns off with my computer. I also sell my work on line with the same contact number. My system backups and updates during the wee hours and I am forever forgetting to leave it running on those schedule days. Every time I shut down the computer my gut said why are you doing this? What if someone wants to reach you? What if your cell phone isn’t charged then what do you do in the wee hours of the night? I did not think about it and chalked it up to being ridiculous. I was wasting energy. Nothing will happen and no one ever calls.
I honestly believe this is a sign to keep the computer on and the phone connected. Maybe to get the call from the person who wants the house or it is the universes way to say stay connected it is important. Eventually I will take the computer to my tech guy and have it looked at but I do not think there is anything wrong.

I live in a world of imagination and creativity so it is easy for me to take the leap and believe in the paranormal, things that happen and make you think did I just see that or not. My TV also acted a little weird yesterday. I wanted to see what was on the schedule for that night and I pressed the button to see. The screen came up and suddenly the pages started to move up very quickly. I tried to stop it or see if I had hit the button. I had to cancel it and go back to live TV. I still have not figured out what happened, this was a new one.
In the past week I have had image flashes where I think there is someone and there is no one. You know what I mean your eyes see something and it startles you, you turn your head quickly to see and realize there is nothing. Many years ago I was mowing the lawn and I kept seeing a flash of a white car speeding by. No car was there. Then one night around 2 am a white car came down the road and smashed into our mailbox and lilac bushes, over the driveway, jumped the low wall and landed in the neighbor driveway. It was a loud metal scrapping noise and as I got up and looked it was a white car heading off down the hill dragging part of the lilac bush. I pay attention to flashes now.
I do not know why strange things happen but I know there is a reason. Somehow it is all connected. Nothing random ever happens to us. Eventually I will see the reason and if you stay open and aware you will find the reason for what is happening in your life too.
Hard work equals Dream.
Hard work is my nature.
I try, until the voice inside tells me to try another way.
I make my dreams manifest through taking action, daily, from now on.
Turn off the phone and step away from the devises that keep you from doing what it is you want to do. Is that really important? I love technology. The things we are capable of doing with these things (phones tablets and add in your favorite) are mind numbing but we have to use them as tools that help us achieve our goals and our dreams. I do not know when it happened but at one point working hard was taken out of the equation in achieving a dream and making your life work for you within that vision. Too many people are touting they have the answer and all you need do is think it so and miraculously it will happen. Maybe that is why we are seeing people becoming the entitlement generation. Someone forgot to tell them even the people with the answers got there with hard work. You cannot do that if you are tethered to a phone tablet or device of any kind. They suck your energy and squash your time.
When you put all your efforts towards the goal you want to achieve stay focused and know this is going to happen it is hard work. Experimenting trying another avenue and not giving in to the ego’s voice, yup hard work. Working from early morning all day and at times long into the evening hours, hard work. Taking action daily, from now on, because yesterday is finished with and to manifest a dream you need to keep moving forward, is essential.
You and you alone know what is right for your life. When you figure that out you are more than half way to making your dream a reality. Remember hard work = dream.
