I read this post and thought I had to share it with all. I know I have been asking for guidance, maybe you too, and this is a beautiful answer. Please read this wonderful message.

Fairy Princess Chair

Some would probably say anyone who believes in magic, in fairies or in things that bang for no reason and disappear from your sight only to reappear some time later are completely mad. May be these people are right but I do not think so, do you? My dear mum would say how she wanted to be thought of as being eccentric and during the end of her years living here in this realm I think she got her wish. She in my eyes was fun and open to different ways of thinking. Never thinking her ways as being eccentric but somehow she accomplished just that and I never saw it happening. There was an openness about her spirit and I feel because of that energy she whether aware or not was in contact with other realms and beings. Maybe being an open spirit is being a child full of wonder.

It is a terrible loss to the human population when we disconnect from wonder and magic. The price we all pay becoming an adult and it is a price I am not willing to pay anymore. Fantasy eccentricity imagination are what allow us to fly with fairies angels and spirits. Just because we discover or invent a new thing does it mean it was not there all the time waiting to come into our realm of thought. Another way of thinking about this is electricity, a thing we use everyday, ever not exist? Did Edison create it by discovering electricity? Electricity was always there but before Edison made us aware of its presence it did not exists in our realm of being. Fairies are and always will be there but you have to take the first steps back to when you were a child and see the world around you with wonder. It is something to ponder surely.

My mum and I delighted in the fairies and the stories we would discovered about the different realms. I now have to confess though my mum wanted to be an eccentric, I am one. Like mother, like daughter.

A little food for thought or some facts about fairy food.

Fairy Food: When it comes to fairy food, we read stories to discover that mallow fruits are fairy cheeses, and dogwood fruits are pixie pears. Little cakes are another favorite fairy food, and if they are made with saffron, they are especially cherished since saffron is highly valued by fairies.

For the past week things around the house have been crazy. There are times when energies build up and all of a sudden everything seems to go wrong. But do they go wrong or is our perception gone askew. When it happens all at once you may feel the universe is conspiring against you. Maybe you believe you are experiencing a run of bad luck. In the past I would have agreed until I realized just recently nothing ever happens to you that you can not make into a positive. This is not about faith and religion; it is about knowing. I know there are fairies among us just as there are angels, spirits and guides both animal and ancestral. They assist you when you need help and show you the truth when you ask. It is a subject most people ignore because they are afraid of being labeled crazy or a new age fanatic. So why do I know these things are real. Simply because I have seen them myself. After this past week I now do not question the positive lessons in everything that has gone right, not wrong.

It started with my computer crashing, a fatal crash. It was acting up again and just as I was attempting to restore the system I lost power just for a minute but at a crucial point. I tried to get the system back up but it was beyond my capabilities. So I found someone close by and took the computer there to hopefully be fixed. It turned out to be a neighbor. He did what he could, added some things, saved my files and gave me some great advise. I am grateful my guides helped me find him. Just before calling him I had spent an hour or so looking for any info or discs that would have come with the computer to help my dilemma and had torn apart the house only to not find anything for this computer, old one yes. I finally gave up  my search and stopped. I sat down quietly surrounded in the chaos and asked for help. It was Spirit or maybe the fairies or guides that guided me to get the help from a neighbor. No longer seeing the situation as a problem and found the blessing in this experience, I met a wonderful person and my computer is working better than ever with all my files saved. The next day I received an order covering my cost and more. This is happening all the time not getting money but answers and I know it is because I have changed my perception. Yes I tore apart my house but now I am reorganizing it and the energy in the house is flowing.

Years and not an easy ones brings me to this realization. You can read all the books and watch all the videos and attend all the seminars but until the switch is turned on you are only a believer. When things start making sense is when you know it is so. Words are not enough but you know the feeling when you arrive. Gratitude joy happiness even when your computer crashes.

As a spiritual being living within a corporeal body it is my imagination that allows me to see and experience the realm of fairies and earths magical energies.  Maybe it is just a thought in my imagination or is it reality because I believe it to be real. Until recently science and spirituality were worlds apart in theory, now scientist understand quantum relationships between energy fields. So why can not my fairy houses have fairies living inside? Could they just be existing in another energy field, a realm outside our reality, but are more advanced in their thinking so they and others can visit back and forth at will. Or is it a realm which was always there but we chose to forget how to reach? It is something you have to decide for yourself.

Custom fairy bed with shams and coverlet.

This is the second cottage fairy house Briar and I completed this week for our shop. Every fairy house I create once the carcass framing is finished starts to form its own personality. There are times when I do not think I am the one actually sculpting these unique and one of a kind woodland fairy homes. I spend hours gluing and find the right piece to fit into a nook on the wall or what branch goes where after foraging the roadsides and woods. Yes they may not last for years outside in the cottage garden, but what a statement inside a whimsical enchanted room.

Imagine two fairies in love and moving into their first little cottage together in the woodland forest. Constructed from twigs moss and branches and things found in the woods and nature, my cottage is enchanting, full of imagination and loaded with mystical tree magic. The back is made of split branches with an opening for gazing up at the moon and stars. The roof is from twigs and moss and cones with a few bobs thrown in. The sides are unique with one side being made from fallen bark and moss and the other side from cut slivers of branches and pebbles in between. On the outside front post is a round sign (blank) ready to be personalized with name house number or greeting.

Inside is a custom bed painted black with a custom blue and white fabric and a fern frond for added decor. A table is next to the bed. On the other side is a covered chair in matching fabric and a table. Overhead is a hanging light made from a clay pot suspended from the rafters with wire. The floor has a burlap rug and moss grows around the edge.

A friend is having a beautiful woodland themed wedding and you want to give a special gift? I have created this woodland fairy house for just that person. Of course this house is also a fabulous gift to mark the new house you just bought together or the anniversary you have coming up or you just love fairies and fairy houses.

Outside measures 12″ x 11″ x 8″ roughly.
Built over a wood carcass and weighs about 4lbs.

Bed before added to fairy house.

Briar, head fairy at Between The Weeds,  is busy at her drafting table with plans for some of her newlywed friends. It is a lot of fun having someone so energetic assisting me in the fairy shop these days. This is one of the newly constructed woodland fairy house wedding cottages in my fairy shop at BetweenTheWeeds. What I like the most about this woodland cottage is the detailed work on the sides and the custom fabric bed. I have added a few more photos here of this sturdy mystical tree magic fairy house.

Fairies have honeymoons too. A woodland cottage fairy house constructed by hand out of branches twigs and wood form this enchanting honeymoon cottage. Inside is a painted custom bed for two with canvas linens and a teal ribbon throw across the bottom. Next to the bed is a table from a branch. On the other side of the room is a chair and table with a clay pot hanging from the rafters for light. There is a chair at the foot of the bed and a bark floor. Moss is growing around the edges and twigs soften the one wall. Both side walls are painted a pretty shade of Indian Sky.

The outside of the house has bits and bobs of sea glass and raffia and a blank piece of wood across the front (for personalizing the house) with the name of the newlywed couple or date or just a sweet blessing to mark a special day. The back is formed with split branches and the sides are split branches moss pebbles and cones combined.

Yellow Goldfinch plant marker is ready to decorate the garden or a potted plant on the porch or deck. You can even use them as table markers for an outdoors wedding or summertime party. The birds are cut from a pine board and I use a wood dowel as the stake. I cut out each one and paint each bird by hand so no two will be alike. Every bird is varnished.

Tie a bit of raffia or a ribbon with a message.
Birds measure about 3.5 x 2 x .75 inches

A garden cottage topiary a whimsical watercolor with a fairy sitting on the moss clay pot while a dragonfly buzzes by is an original watercolor painting. The topiary is rich with hunter greens and navy with a twining vine down the trunk. Moss just pops up over the rim of a Tuscany clay pot where a fairy shimmers in between our world and hers. Of course a dragonfly is buzzing by.

A woodland fairy house for a mystical fairy in a room setting with fairy furniture displays a custom handmade cabinet filled with natural elements and even a unicorn horn. The room is set on a rattan plate holder (recycled) covered with mosses pebbles and shells. There is a box of goodies with a purple fairy ribbon tied in a bow and perched on the side of the cabinet and a split log for a table with stumps to sit on.

Can you see the fairies? They are busy making their healing natural potions for all that ails you.

The pieces are glued in place but your imagination or a wee child’s can roam.
